Ms Trinidad Peraza gave me outstanding service. Her communication was on point and never kept me in the dark. She is an extremely profesional young attorney and soon she will be one of the best defense lawyers in the country. From the day that I saw her in court I said that’s going to be my attorney. I asked for her card and asked for a continuance. I called and set up an appointment. During our initial conversation I knew she was the one. Before I hired Ms. Peraza, she carefully explained what she believed would likely happen between the State Attorney’s Office and the Polk County detective handling my case. Ultimately, that is exactly how the situation unfolded after she was retained. What stood out to me most was how personally involved she was in my case. Despite undoubtedly having a demanding workload, she consistently made herself available and responded to my calls and emails the same day. I never felt as though my case was being passed off or that I was simply another client in the background. Ms. Peraza’s prior experience working in a prosecutor’s office provided her with valuable insight into the process and circumstances surrounding my case. I truly believe that experience was an important asset in achieving the outcome we received. He tells you exactly what to expect and actually executes a much better outcome than you expected. I expected one thing and then day of court found out it was even better. Joey Messer2 July 2026It can be extremely stressful, to be charged with a crime. Especially, when it happens at a time you have so many other things going on in life. It literally becomes overwhelming. Yet, to be charged by 2 cops (as in they are the accusers) with a crime you look guilty of but you're innocent and can't prove it ? That feels like the worst. That is exactly what happened to me. Also, to make matters even worse, a Security Director added to the claims. Also, the day before my daughter graduated high school this year, I received an Administrative Complaint against my occupational license from this case, just to top off the nightmare. I figured this would be a no win situation and my anxiety was through the roof, so the first place I thought to run for help was Gil Colón. An incident at an extremely low time in life 24 years ago, taught me that he doesnt judge by the cover, he's not scared and Polk County knows exactly who he is. I called ahead for a consultation and was met at the front door by Trinidad Peraza. First impression was respectful, down to earth and blunt. We met, discussed the case and she immediately handled one major issue that needed immediate attention (thank you again, if you read this) her actions literally saved my job. Afterward the initial help (yes afterward) I was told to look into other attorneys and take my time. I could come back later when I've made a decision and she would be more than happy to assist me. I signed then and there, to which she immediately began working (literally). Mrs. Peraza is like the really close friend that has your back, no matter what and you feel everything is going to be ok with her there with you. Mrs. Peraza is also blunt and to the point, there is no guessing where things stand. The communication is impeccable (I never use that word lightly). You are most definitely not a number on a docket or a file. That says alot in todays chaotic careless world. For a non-trusting overthinker like myself, her response times for questions and comments etc. even blew my mind (in the beginning, you get use to it quick). The office may not read this, and that's understandable with how busy life is. However, I cannot put into words or thank you (Trinidad, also Valerie) enough for that care and hardwork. You are the perfect addition to a great firm, though you are most definitely your own person. If you don't change and you stay you, its a given you will have your own firm one day, no doubt. A friend of mine recently said, the system unfortunately doesn't operate on good and bad, right and wrong, fair and unfair. Nor does the system care about individual people. I concur, and for that reason, I thank God, that for the people in that system there is Trinidad A. Peraza. Thank You ! P.S. i tend to get caught up in what happened and forget important details. Anyways, even though it was a tough fight, that she is definitely built for, we won. I would say surprisingly cause of dealing with law enforcement, but when you meet her you will understand why it isn't a surprise.Posted on Google
